Out of the Bloggersphere!

Seeing as I’ve been getting so much love and support from the Bloggersphere (I really appreciate it), I decided it would only make sense to give back by celebrating five of my favourite blogs so far. You guys have been enabling me to do God’s will, pour out my thoughts, and fulfill one of God’s purposes in my life right now by reading this blog, I thought I’d take the time to reference a few blogs that have blessed me and made me smile (literally).

Studio Chi is a different kind of blog, it focuses on weddings and fashion and embraces femininity in an honest and simple way, which makes it even more relatable. This light-hearted blog is refreshing because of its calming tone. When things may get a little heavy, or overwhelming, this blog puts me at ease, gives me something less distressing to read about. I can get free applicable fashion and cosmetic tips, whilst being encouraged in my walk with Christ, and who can say they don’t love weddings? So please check it out…

Cindy Livingstone – When I read this blog, I feel like I’m in good hands. Its kind of like when I used to go to a house party, slightly worried by all the chaos that could potentially unravel, until an adult showed up. Cindy Livingstone ‘s posts are very calming and she captures the imagination incredibly well. I appreciate her ability to interpret occurrences in a manner central to glorifying God.

P4CM – My favourite blog, isn’t even a blog (no it’s not cheating), it’s an amazing website. I feel it has been a huge eye opener, and provided me with God sent revelation after revelation so I couldn’t resist adding it to this list. It really fulfils my cravings for a creative and informative kind of media experience, especially when I’m fighting my urge to watch some romantic film or another. From their helpful and encouraging YouTube poetry videos, to their useful Google group chat broadcasts, to their clear and helpful sermons, they are really doing the Lord’s work – in my life at least. I thank God for all their lives.

Vicky Walker – So if there is one blog that makes me laugh out loud, its this lady’s. Vicky Walker is the author of ‘Do I have to be good all the time?’ Her blog is very refreshing because its primary focus is always God, and its secondary focus, to make the reader feel good. I don’t know about you, but I like feeling good, and Vicky’s blog is so easy to enjoy, you should check it out! Oh and her abnormal anecdotes are hilarious.

Pillscoffeeheresy is my last, but by no means least favourite blog. This blog  does something very original and unique and I thank God for enabling it to do so. Our generation is sometimes referred to as the visual, aesthetic generation, we consume mostly with our eyes. When I don’t feel like reading a thousand words, or I feel like reading something incredibly insightful (at the risk of sounding over enthusiastic), I often click on to this blog. Pillscoffeeheresy is so engaging in that the layout of the blog, gives the illusion that you’re in a very relaxed environment. The vibrant posts engage the mind easily with videos and easy to understand observations, with useful quotes and references. If you find it difficult to read a wordy, less colourful blog, but you still want to be blessed, then this blog will really help – God willing. Here’s a link to one of my favourite posts…

For all the other blogs I follow but haven’t mentioned, I can’t complete this post without showing you guys some love! DaughterByDesign, Niketa Cameron, PamBoyd, AnOnionPatch, True Strength, MustardSeedBudget, Cole Ryan and MarsOfThePositiveToxicity. We share one thing in common, that is expression, and taking the time to express isn’t easy in a world where everything is about consuming and taking, but we give and consistently give, for our own good, for the good of others and most importantly to glorify God!
